Young Scientists Exhibition in the RDS
Scoil Mhuire Primary School in Ballincollig were one of only 40 primary schools who were invited to display their Science Project at the Young Scientists Exhibition in the RDS on the 9th of January.
The sixth class girls spent a month working on their energy efficient project collecting data which they then analysed. The class recorded the weather outside their window on camera making a time-lapse video. The video was then compared with the inside temperature. They hope this will make the school more energy efficient.
The judges were very enthusiastic about the project and the girls got a very positive report. They were presented with a beautiful trophy which is now proudly displayed in the school.
