On the 15th of November 2023, as part of its outreach activities, the Science Department in University College Cork very kindly invited two classes from Scoil Mhuire to take part in a Science Week Workshop. Students from 4th and 5th class travelled to UCC to attend the workshop. This workshop was centred around physiology and the girls took part in many experiments to do with different processes in the body. Included in this workshop were experiments on reaction time, lung capacity, heart rate, blood flow, hearing and vision. This was a wonderful engaging and educational opportunity for both classes.
